After watching this movie, I've completely forgotten the meaning of "moral integrity"!

Hey everyone, weekend’s just around the corner!

How about kicking back with a raunchy R-rated comedy to unwind?

If you’re a fan of movies like “Calvary” or the “American Pie” series, you absolutely can’t miss this one.

Title: “That’s My Boy”

While the film’s rating might not be sky-high, it’s guaranteed to challenge your perceptions and push your boundaries.

Let’s just say, I’ve forgotten what “decency” even means after watching this!

A Deep Dive into “That’s My Boy”

This movie is packed with R-rated, taboo-breaking content!

The Inciting Incident

The opening scene alone is explosive.

We’re introduced to Donny, a rebellious and promiscuous 13-year-old. Smoking and drinking are just the tip of the iceberg.

In an even more shocking turn of events, he has a public affair with his 22-year-old teacher, resulting in her pregnancy!

Some teachers are just… different.

The Aftermath

Donny becomes an overnight sensation (of sorts). The court convicts the teacher of seducing a minor, and the attractive educator ends up behind bars.

The teacher entrusts her child, Todd, to Donny.

However, Donny remains the same irresponsible teenager and fails to be a reliable father.

As a result, when Todd turns 18, he leaves his father in anger.

A Reunion of Sorts

Decades later, Donny is a washed-up, deadbeat middle-aged man, struggling with severe tax evasion issues. If he can’t come up with a substantial amount of money within a week, he’ll be spending the rest of his life in prison.

Desperate, Donny decides to exploit his past scandal with the teacher for a quick buck.

He plans to orchestrate a media spectacle by reuniting with the teacher in prison, hoping to attract attention and earn some money.

However, he discovers that his son is now a successful and wealthy fund manager about to get married.

This leads to a new plan: reconcile with his son.

He tracks down Todd and presents a “special” gift to his future daughter-in-law (prepare to be shocked!).

The Complications

Todd is understandably not thrilled about his father’s sudden reappearance.

He despises Donny, considering him the worst father in the world. He’s even told people that his father died in a car accident.

Donny, however, introduces himself as Todd’s best friend.

With his charm and smooth-talking skills, Donny manages to win everyone over.

At the party, people share stories about Donny’s “heroic” past, and he becomes the center of attention.

Everyone seems to regard him as a “legend.”

Even the elderly are impressed by his exploits!

(Okay, I admit, I’m not as open-minded as she is.)

Donny truly embodies the film’s lack of boundaries.

He’s caught using a photo of an old woman for… personal time.

He’s also had a past with his friend’s mother.

The Road to Redemption

Many of Todd’s issues stem from Donny’s neglect during his childhood.

For example, Donny tattooed Todd’s back when he was only eight years old.

Todd also never learned how to ride a bike.

During his first attempt, he crashes into a couple engaging in some car-related activities, leading to a hilarious chase scene.

After spending a few days together, Donny and Todd bond and have a great time.

Todd seems to be touched by Donny’s efforts.

He decides to visit his mother in prison. Donny has a change of heart and wants to be a responsible father.

Todd secretly goes to the prison, but he is followed by a TV crew. Donny’s original intentions are revealed, and the father-son relationship is on the verge of collapse!

Just as Donny is about to leave, he discovers that Todd’s fiancée is being unfaithful.

She’s not only having an affair with Todd’s boss but also had a pre-wedding encounter with her brother.

Donny can’t stand it and decides to sabotage the wedding.

The Conclusion

In the end, as you might have guessed, Todd doesn’t get married, and the father-son relationship is restored!

Ultimately, the director uses a unique approach to portray fatherly love. A father’s love often matures through mistakes and growth.
