Exciting news for comic book movie fans! Margo Martindale, Bill Camp, and Brian d’Arcy James have officially signed on to star in “The Kitchen,” a new film based on the DC comic book series. They will be joining the already stellar cast of Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish, and Elisabeth Moss.

The film, adapted from the gritty comic, plunges into the dark heart of 1970s Hell’s Kitchen, New York. When a group of Irish mobsters are incarcerated, their wives decide to take matters into their own hands. Behind the Scenes

Andrea Berloff, known for her writing on “Straight Outta Compton,” will be making her directorial debut with “The Kitchen.” She also penned the screenplay for the film. The project is a joint venture between Warner Bros. New Line Cinema and DC Entertainment. Michael De Luca (“Moneyball”) is producing. “The Kitchen” is slated for release in North American theaters on September 20, 2019.
