Do you believe in fairies?

Disney’s animated films feature a group of adorable fairies whose work is essential to the growth of all things. Let’s take a peek at what these fairies are up to!

Tinker Bell: A Trilogy of Adventures

Tinker Bell (2008)

Our journey begins with Tinker Bell, also known as the “奇妙仙子” (Fairy of Wonders) in some regions.

A dandelion seed floats into Pixie Hollow, and as the fairies sprinkle it with pixie dust, a new fairy is born. During her talent selection ceremony, Tinker Bell finds herself drawn to a hammer, marking her as a tinker fairy.

Initially thrilled, Tinker Bell’s enthusiasm wanes as she observes the talents of other fairies. The fact that tinker fairies are not allowed to visit the human world further dampens her spirits. Determined to change her destiny, she decides to learn the skills of other fairies and become a nature fairy.

Despite her diligent efforts, she struggles to master these new skills, even causing a few mishaps along the way. Following some questionable advice from a wind fairy, she inadvertently destroys the preparations for spring, with the season’s arrival just around the corner.

Overwhelmed with guilt, Tinker Bell decides to leave Pixie Hollow, intending to take extra pixie dust with her. It is here that she meets Terence, the pixie dust keeper. Under Terence’s guidance, she finally recognizes her true talent and decides to use her inventions to make amends. She creates various tools to help the fairies redo their spring preparations, quickly completing the task and rectifying her mistakes. Ultimately, she earns her chance to visit the human world.

Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure (2009)

In Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure, also known as “奇妙仙子与失落的宝藏” (Fairy of Wonders and the Lost Treasure), Tinker Bell is entrusted with the important task of creating a scepter for the upcoming Blue Moon Festival, thanks to her contributions in preparing for spring in the first film. During this festival, a blue moon rises over Pixie Hollow, and when its light passes through a moonstone, it generates a large amount of blue pixie dust. This blue dust, in turn, allows the pixie dust tree to produce abundant golden pixie dust, making it crucial to maximize the moonstone’s exposure to the moonlight.

Terence eagerly offers his assistance, and initially, their collaboration goes smoothly. However, Tinker Bell’s patience wears thin as Terence’s constant involvement begins to feel intrusive. When Terence volunteers to find sharp objects needed for the scepter, he returns with a pocket watch. Disappointed, Tinker Bell dismisses the watch, accidentally causing it to crush the scepter. An argument ensues, and Tinker Bell declares their friendship over, unaware that Terence only wanted to give her the watch’s hands.

Upon seeing the broken scepter and with time running out, Tinker Bell angrily kicks the watch, causing its cover to pop open and shatter the moonstone. Realizing the gravity of the situation, she asks Fairy Mary if there is another moonstone. Upon learning there isn’t, she collapses in despair. However, Mary mistakenly believes she is simply stressed and invites her to a play. The play tells the story of pirates who possessed a magic mirror capable of granting three wishes. After using two wishes, the pirate ship sank off the coast of Neverland, leaving only one wish remaining. Tinker Bell decides to embark on a quest to find the magic mirror.

Tinker Bell sets off on her self-made flying machine, accompanied by her new firefly friend, Blaze. Together, they locate the magic mirror, but accidentally use up the last wish. However, they discover a more valuable treasure: friendship. Tinker Bell reconciles with Terence, and together, they use the broken moonstone to create a unique scepter, bringing abundant blue pixie dust to Pixie Hollow.

Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue (2010)

In Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue, also known as “小叮当:拯救精灵大作战” (Tinker Bell: Saving the Fairy Battle), Tinker Bell’s adventures extend into the summer, taking her to the human world once again.

A young girl and her father arrive in the countryside. The girl adores fairies, but her father doesn’t believe in them. To welcome the fairies, the girl builds a small, beautifully decorated house.

Curious about human vehicles, Tinker Bell, accompanied by Vidia who tries to dissuade her, discovers the house. Without hesitation, Tinker Bell enters the little house made by the girl. Vidia accidentally traps Tinker Bell inside, where the girl finds her. The girl takes Tinker Bell home. Initially frightened and wanting to escape, Tinker Bell is won over by the girl’s kindness. Together, they create a fairy research journal.

The girl wants to show the journal to her father, but he is always too busy to pay attention. After his research butterflies disappear, he assumes the girl released them and scolds her. Tinker Bell, who had decided to leave, witnesses this and turns back to help the girl achieve her dream of flying. However, the commotion attracts the father’s attention. Seeing the girl’s footprints on the ceiling, he can no longer deny the existence of fairies and throws all the girl’s fairy-related items into the trash. Tinker Bell suddenly appears, making the father believe in fairies. However, he is only interested in his research and secretly tries to capture Tinker Bell with a cup. Vidia discovers this and saves Tinker Bell, getting captured herself. The father hastily takes Vidia to the museum.

The other fairies find Tinker Bell, but a storm prevents them from flying. Tinker Bell has a brilliant idea and helps the girl fly, braving the rain to stop her father. The father is moved by the friendship between the girl and the fairies and chooses to release Vidia.

The fairies help the father and daughter fly back home together.
