Recommended reason: Life · Mission
The intense yet engaging plot makes this series brimming with vitality. Over the past 18 years, the characters have gotten married, had children, some have left, and new ones have joined. Some were fleeting visitors, while others have become permanent fixtures. Throughout these 18 years, the protagonist, Meredith, has experienced life and death, natural disasters and personal tragedies. She has grown from a young and inexperienced intern into a professional woman who remains true to her beliefs, strives for excellence, and seeks neither fame nor fortune. In this group of interns, we see a rare and admirable spirit of dedication—no matter what challenges they face, they give it their all.
Birth, aging, illness, and death are the constants of life. Life is fragile, and at times, incredibly resilient—we’re always hoping for miracles. More prayers are heard in hospitals than in churches, and the myriad human experiences within their walls have become a microcosm of society. This series begins from a medical perspective and ends with reflections on life, blending professionalism with warmth and compassion.
Reflection: Passion & Legacy
In the end, Grey left *Grey's Anatomy*—she became a better version of herself and gained a clearer understanding of what she truly wanted. But for us medical students, the story is still ongoing. The journey of studying medicine is long and arduous; at times, we feel like crying and want to give up. When the unexpected happens, we may panic and feel lost. We all hope to become like Grey—growing more composed as we go, walking our path with increasing confidence and determination.
