Breakthrough Performance

In 2013, Larson’s career took off with the release of the drama “Short Term 12.” She portrayed Grace, a young woman dealing with past traumas while working at a home for troubled teens. As she helps the teens confront their issues, Grace faces her own demons and embraces a new chapter in her life with her boyfriend.

The film creates a powerful contrast by focusing on a limited perspective, highlighting the true value of telling a terrifying story. Rather than being overly sentimental, the film emphasizes the purest form of human connection: family love.

Becoming a Hero

In 2019, Marvel Studios released “Captain Marvel.” Based on the Marvel Comics character, the film is set in the 1990s and follows Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), an Air Force pilot who becomes a member of an elite intergalactic military team. With the help of agent Nick Fury, she begins to uncover the truth about her past.
