Lindsey Beer serves as both the writer and director of “Pet Sematary: Bloodlines,” marking her directorial debut. “Pet Sematary” remains one of Stephen King’s most celebrated novels. In addition to the original 1989 film, Paramount produced a sequel with an original storyline in 1992.
The Sinister Premise: A Town Haunted by Resurrection
“Pet Sematary” centers on Louis Creed, who relocates his family from the city to a rural town in Maine. Due to the constant stream of speeding trucks near their home, local pets often meet tragic ends, leading to their burial in a nearby Native American burial ground – the eponymous Pet Sematary.
