Thu May 29 2025

**Overview**

*"Divorce Insurance"* is a romantic comedy that centers around the concept of divorce insurance as a way to prepare for unpredictable married life. The series humorously yet realistically portrays the joys and sorrows of marriage and divorce, resonating with viewers through its relatable themes.

**My Review**

I chose to remain single rather than get married.

However, there was a time when I was very interested in the institution of marriage.

There’s a statistic that says 1 out of 3 married couples ends up getting divorced.

And even among those who don’t divorce, not many are truly happy in their marriages.

Many just endure it without actually getting divorced…

At one point, I often found myself questioning what exactly is wrong with the institution of marriage.

I didn’t have to look far—many people around me have gone through divorce, and even those still married often live far from peaceful lives.

Perhaps that’s why I chose not to marry.

Whether it’s staying single, getting married, or getting divorced, the ultimate goal is probably the same—for each of us to find our own happiness.

**My Thoughts After Watching *Divorce Insurance***

While the main premise of *Divorce Insurance* revolves around the coverage provided in the event of a divorce, it made me think from a slightly different perspective.

What if, from the insurance company’s standpoint, the product was designed to be more profitable when couples *don’t* divorce and instead maintain a healthy marriage?

Wouldn't it be better if the insurance also included support for sustaining a happy marriage?

For instance, offering programs like marriage education, couples counseling, or other initiatives that help couples maintain a strong relationship.

If such programs could help reduce divorce rates among policyholders, wouldn’t that make for a much better insurance product?

Of course, the policy should still provide coverage in case a divorce does happen. But if the focus could shift more toward *preventing* divorce in the first place, it might not only help solve social issues but also improve the profitability of the insurance company.

I hope that future couples, through products like divorce insurance, can enjoy a more secure and happy married life from the very start of their journey together.
