On April 22, Tom Hanks shared a behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram, revealing that he's already begun voice work for *Toy Story 5*. Not long before that, his longtime co-star, Tim Allen—voice of Buzz Lightyear—also shared an update about the sequel!

"I can tell you this film is largely about Jessie," Allen said in an interview with WIVB. "And there's also an absolutely stunning opening scene with Buzz Lightyear. That much I can say, but I can't tell you any more."

The cowgirl Jessie was introduced in *Toy Story 2* and is voiced by Joan Cusack. Jessie is Buzz Lightyear's girlfriend—enthusiastic, brave, and full of energy. However, this toy also carries a deep sense of sorrow, having been abandoned by her previous owner. After spending years stored away by a toy collector, she became timid, distrustful, and even a bit withdrawn. Still, she yearns to bring joy to children once again.
