Kill Her Goats

Handlung
Kill Her Goats is a 2022 American slasher horror film directed by James Landry Heral III and written by Emilya Jayne. The film follows Audra, a seemingly affluent college graduate who receives her graduation gift in the form of a beautiful, dream home. Her excitement, however, quickly turns to terror as a group of people arrives at her homecoming party who make it abundantly clear that they do not approve of her inheriting the property. Audra struggles to comprehend why her guests are behaving strangely, especially given that the house belongs to her now, not them. The visitors' disquieting and aggressive behavior suggests a complex web of resentment and anger, but a deeper understanding of the reason behind their animosity remains elusive. As tensions escalate, it becomes apparent that the true source of their discontent lies in a peculiar and dark history attached to the house. A series of unfortunate past events, coupled with long-held resentments and a tragic accident in the home's past, contribute to the uninvited guests' extreme behavior. A sense of foreboding pervades the atmosphere, as the audience is led to suspect that these uninvited visitors will not be leaving without causing chaos. Throughout the party, the uninvited guests continue to manifest an increasingly malevolent presence. They seem completely unfazed by their lack of a formal invitation, instead making their displeasure unmistakably known to Audra and her friends. Their actions grow more threatening and sinister, leading Audra and her friends to begin questioning their own safety. One pivotal moment in the film reveals a gruesome death at the hands of the vengeful and sinister group, a violent scene that sets the tone for more bloodshed and carnage in the hours that follow. It is during this pivotal moment that the audience gains insight into the uninvited guests' motivations for targeting Audra and her group. Their intentions are revealed to be fueled by a long-standing feud over the home and a sense of responsibility that they feel has been passed over to the unsuspecting new homeowner. As the story unfolds, Audra becomes trapped in a maelstrom of unending terror and violence, desperately trying to stay one step ahead of her vengeful pursuers. The home's dark past comes back to haunt her in the form of an unseen force, driven by the vengeful intentions of those who once called this house their home. Audra must fight for her very survival, as the home, now imbued with the malevolent energy of her guests' collective resentment, becomes a deadly maze designed by the uninvited guests to torment her and assert their twisted claims of ownership. The home itself transforms into a foreboding character in the film, one that appears to have a bloodthirsty appetite for its new inhabitant. Ultimately, the movie becomes a cat-and-mouse game between Audra and her uninvited guests, as the latter relentlessly stalk her through the night. The tension builds as the audience becomes increasingly invested in the protagonist's fate, rooting for Audra's desperate attempts to survive the deadly onslaught that surrounds her. In the climax of the film, Audra faces off against the vengeful group, leading to a violent confrontation that leaves a trail of dead and dying in its wake. As the survivors are forced to flee for their lives, the home appears to finally find the peace it has been lacking. In the aftermath of the carnage, the home lies empty and still, but one is left to wonder whether the nightmare is truly over, or if it merely serves as a temporary respite before the cycle of violence and terror can begin anew.
