Hell Hath No Fury is a 1981 British television film directed by Don Sharp, starring Suzanna Hamilton and Ray McAnally. The movie follows the story of Susan (Suzanna Hamilton), a beautiful and intelligent woman who is married to wealthy and powerful businessman, Paul Mitchell (Ray McAnally). Susan's life is far from perfect, as her husband, Paul, is constantly philandering and emotionally abusive. The tension between the couple is palpable, and it becomes increasingly clear that their marriage is on the verge of collapse. However, their problems are just about to escalate, as Paul's mistress, a deranged and unstable woman named Laura (played by actress Elizabeth Morton), has other plans. In a fit of rage and jealousy, Laura attacks Paul in his office and kills him. The police investigation follows, and Susan becomes the prime suspect in Paul's murder. As the evidence mounts against her, Susan is shocked and devastated. However, unbeknownst to the police, Laura has planted evidence to frame Susan for the crime, and it seems that the authorities are buying into her story. Meanwhile, Laura continues to taunt and terrorize Susan, leaving her disturbing and threatening messages, and even going so far as to break into Susan's home. The police, who are initially skeptical of Susan's claims, begin to suspect that she may be telling the truth, but they are slow to act. As the situation escalates, Susan finds herself in increasing danger. Laura's obsession with her grows, and she becomes more and more unhinged. Susan tries to convince the police of her innocence, but they are under pressure to solve the case quickly, and Susan's reputation is being dragged through the mud as a result. In a desperate bid to clear her name, Susan takes matters into her own hands and begins her own investigation into Paul's murder. She digs deeper, uncovering a web of deceit and corruption that goes far beyond her marriage. As the truth begins to unravel, Susan becomes increasingly consumed by her own fury and determination to bring Laura to justice. Throughout the movie, Suzanna Hamilton brings depth and nuance to the character of Susan, conveying the complexity and emotion of a woman who is both victim and survivor. Her performance is matched by Elizabeth Morton's chilling portrayal of Laura, a truly terrifying and unstable individual who will stop at nothing to achieve her twisted goals. In the end, Hell Hath No Fury is a gripping and intense thriller that combines elements of mystery, drama, and horror. The movie's tense atmosphere and shocking plot twists keep the viewer on the edge of their seat, as Susan fights to clear her name and bring justice to the world. The film's conclusion is both surprising and satisfying, as the truth behind Paul's murder comes to light and Susan emerges victorious, but with a newfound understanding of the darkness that lurks within others.
