Almost certainly one of the first Disney animations I ever watched. Cruella de Vil was definitely one of the scariest characters of my childhood...

The animation style marks a significant departure from previous Disney films, primarily due to the pioneering use of Xerography. This gives the film a distinct hand-drawn, sketch-like quality. Backgrounds are often rendered with outlines and large washes of ink, a stark contrast to the realistically detailed and precisely lit styles of earlier works. Characters feature prominent black outlines, and their edges appear to slightly jitter in motion, giving the impression of unrefined sketches. However, this unique style is well-suited and visually appealing within the context of this particular film.
