Trama
Mientras el sol se pone sobre el polvoriento pueblo mexicano, la reputación del Padre Francisco como hombre santo se extiende como la pólvora entre los fieles. Su inquebrantable dedicación a su rebaño y su fe inquebrantable en lo divino le han valido la veneración de sus feligreses. Sin embargo, bajo la superficie de esta existencia aparentemente piadosa se esconde un secreto profundamente arraigado que lo atormenta con cada día que pasa. Las semillas de la caída de Francisco se sembraron durante un exorcismo fallido, donde se vio obligado a enfrentarse a las fuerzas oscuras de frente. Aunque salió victorioso en la superficie, la experiencia dejó una marca indeleble en su psique. La energía malévola que había liberado aún permanecía dentro de él, supurando como una herida abierta que se negaba a sanar. April 17, 2022 "The Exorcism of God," the title sounds intriguing, but the film itself is rather disappointing. It merely reverses the active and passive roles within an old-fashioned and outdated formula, and the ending is nothing more than cliché. In an era where religious exorcism has lost its appeal, and even the "bad priest" trope is passé, to still be covertly bashing religion under the guise of proselytization seems awfully slow on the uptake. It's like they're laughing at a joke from over a decade ago just now, and when they try to tell a similar one, it's just not funny.
