Trama
En un futuro distópico donde Estados Unidos ha degenerado en un brutal estado policial, las cadenas de televisión han reemplazado el entretenimiento tradicional con juegos mortales que enfrentan a los prisioneros entre sí en una lucha a muerte. La principal atracción es "Perseguido", un programa popular con reclusos del corredor de la muerte que se ven obligados a correr por sus vidas mientras son perseguidos por asesinos profesionales. Ben Richards (Arnold Schwarzenegger), un hombre acusado injustamente, ve la oportunidad de limpiar su nombre y escapar de las garras del gobierno totalitario cuando es sentenciado a aparecer en "Perseguido". Con la ayuda de su viejo amigo, Damon Knight (Marvin Chomsky), Ben se propone sobrevivir al juego mortal y exponer la verdad sobre el gobierno corrupto.
