Di Bawah Periskop

Plot

Definitely in the same vein as "Hot Shots!" and "The Naked Gun"... and that's exactly why I love it.

Okay, here are a few options depending on what you're trying to convey with "不错" in the context of a movie review: **Option 1 (General positive sentiment):** * "Not bad." (This is a classic understated positive.) * "Pretty good." **Option 2 (Slightly stronger positive):** * "Good." * "Decent." **Option 3 (If you want to emphasize it exceeded expectations):** * "Surprisingly good." * "Better than expected." **Option 4 (If you want to convey it's enjoyable and fun, fitting with the comedic nature of *Down Periscope*):** * "Enjoyable." * "Fun." * "A good time." **Option 5 (If you thought the specific aspects of the movie were pretty good):** * "The visuals are good." * "The dialogue is decent." * "Robby Benson did a surprising job." While "不错" literally translates closer to "not bad", using only the term "not bad" in your review of *Down Periscope* feels somewhat...understated, considering that you're looking for a more natural English expression. Therefore, "Pretty good" and "Good" are fairly close to the context.

First dive to 500 feet, that whole process. Hilarious flatulence. And the legendary sonar officer & sonar. Pirate-style thinking. The team. Stepanek, though a bit of a rogue, is fundamentally decent: "I only get myself into trouble, I don't do things that would cause trouble for everyone else. That's just unprofessional." The habit of having a theme song and dance is great. "In good conscience, I won't do it without them."

Think "Police Academy" sets sail meets "The Dirty Dozen" in WWII, then spin that around a few times and you're still nowhere near the sheer absurdity of "Down Periscope." It's like a distant cousin of "Operation Petticoat," if that pink submarine had been crewed by the Bad News Bears of the Navy.

Commanding a nuclear submarine feels like navigating a high-stakes chess match underwater. *Down Periscope* showcases Dodge's unorthodox approach, blending strategic brilliance with a touch of chaos.

"Dodge’s submarine is a perfect metaphor for his reckless approach to life — full of surprises and a little too close to the deep end!"
