Kat's life takes a drastic turn when her owner's parents cut her off financially as well. Feeling abandoned and with the realization that she must start becoming an independent house cat, Kat decides to participate in a 7-day challenge, where she attempts to transform her life, much like her human namesake had done. The film is presented in an animated style, combining 2D and 3D elements to bring the world of the house cat to life. With a plethora of options, Kat faces the difficult decision of which path to choose. Alongside her misadventures, Kat meets a cast of lovable and quirky characters that aid her in her pursuit of becoming an independent cat. One of the main characters introduced early on is Duke, a street-smart stray who becomes Kat's confidant and guide throughout her journey.
