Plot
Saat matahari terbenam di atas kota Meksiko yang berdebu, reputasi Padre Francisco sebagai orang suci menyebar seperti api di kalangan umat beriman. Dedikasinya yang tak tergoyahkan kepada kawanannya dan keyakinannya yang tak tergoyahkan pada ilahi telah membuatnya dihormati oleh umat parokinya. Namun, di balik permukaan keberadaan yang tampaknya saleh ini terdapat rahasia yang mengakar dalam yang menyiksanya setiap hari. Benih kejatuhan Francisco ditabur selama eksorsisme yang gagal, di mana ia dipaksa untuk menghadapi kekuatan gelap secara langsung. April 17, 2022 "The Exorcism of God," the title sounds intriguing, but the film itself is rather disappointing. It merely reverses the active and passive roles within an old-fashioned and outdated formula, and the ending is nothing more than cliché. In an era where religious exorcism has lost its appeal, and even the "bad priest" trope is passé, to still be covertly bashing religion under the guise of proselytization seems awfully slow on the uptake. It's like they're laughing at a joke from over a decade ago just now, and when they try to tell a similar one, it's just not funny.
