Corporate Monster follows the story of a man, whose name is initially left ambiguous, as he becomes increasingly disillusioned with his mundane life. Unbeknownst to him, he exists in a world where unseen entities have long been manipulating the course of human events for their own purposes. These entities, often referred to as 'The Shadow,' have woven themselves into the fabric of society, exerting influence and control from behind the scenes. As a mid-level employee at a faceless corporation, our protagonist's days blend together in an unremarkable blur of meetings, office politics, and routine administrative tasks. His sense of purposelessness and disconnection from the world around him grows as he feels underappreciated and overworked. It is in this state of despair that his world begins to unravel. The catalyst for this chain of events lies in the prescription medication he takes to manage his escalating stress levels and fragile mental state. Initially prescribed to ease anxiety and promote a sense of calm, the pills seem to have unintended consequences as they begin to alter his perception of reality. One day, while walking through a crowded street, he catches a glimpse of something that doesn't belong – a dark, formless entity perched on the shoulder of a passerby. At first, he thinks he has lost his mind, and his initial instinct is to dismiss this disturbing vision as the result of his medication or the strain of his stressful job.
