The 11:14 PM car crash. Much more entertaining than the Oscar-winning *Crash*. Dark humor abounds, though the plot design feels somewhat forced, and the chronological connections occasionally raise questions. The biggest issue, of course, is that this type of fragmented narrative structure has been done to death. Shelly must be a science or engineering student; otherwise, where would she get the idea to use another car battery to jump-start her own, and rationally concoct a plan to swap out the murder weapon with a bowling ball – even if it didn't quite work out.
