あらすじ

The remake incorporates a good amount of Chinese and Jackie Chan elements, which makes it quite enjoyable.

As a child reading Jules Verne, I never imagined that the protagonist would look like Jackie Chan with his distinctly Asian features...

While the original novel is a relatively serious piece of popular literature with scant humor, this adaptation has taken a drastically different route. Aside from the main storyline, almost every aspect of the film diverges significantly from the source material, with characters bearing little resemblance to their literary counterparts. The addition of numerous extraneous characters, the expansion of Jackie Chan's role as the servant, and the reduction of Phileas Fogg and the pursuing detective's screen time all contribute to this departure. The servant essentially becomes the protagonist, ultimately transforming the film into an awkward and incongruous action-comedy.
