あらすじ

The last ten minutes, the tears just wouldn't stop. He had no expression, yet I understood all his emotions. That's love! It's so damn romantic and tragic.

Is it as good as everyone raves about, or is it just another piece of American mainstream propaganda? It's the typical American "father-son" bonding story, always accompanied by a dog. The dog constantly wants to play fetch, and the mantra is to never trust other humans. There's a repetitive emphasis on American landmarks like mountains and bridges... Even in a resource-scarce situation, they can still afford to keep a dog, drive an RV, and have access to all sorts of high-tech equipment. Despite America being ravaged by sandstorms and tornadoes daily, they insist on going home to take a shower? They're running out of food but still choose to feed the dog, and the protagonist is willing to sacrifice himself to build a robot just to continue caring for the dog. But when it comes to other humans, they're all shot on sight?! This is ridiculous. It seems like the protagonist represents the American subconscious...

Watching a movie like this is all about the feeling. Just sink into your couch, relax, embark on the journey with the protagonist, and maybe experience some emotional resonance along the way. Perhaps add a touch of gentle contemplation, and simply enjoy the ride.
