Gigli's awkward blend of romantic comedy and crime drama falls flat, despite Jennifer Lopez and Al Pacino's presence. The film's tone is inconsistent, and the characters' motivations are unclear. Ben Affleck's portrayal of the titular character is particularly cringe-worthy, making it hard to buy into the character's supposed charm. Ricki's introduction adds a much-needed spark, but it's not enough to save this messy, unintentionally humorous disaster.
