あらすじ

While still quite young, Kevin Smith, even within the rather conventional framework of heartwarming storytelling, still occasionally challenges taboos, thereby making the finished product a bit more interesting than those mediocre works.

Really enjoyed this movie! Though it ends with a predictable happy ending, the constant stream of humorous moments kept me thoroughly entertained. Ben Affleck is far from expressionless; he plays this young dad with a real spark. The supporting cast are all outstanding, and Ben Affleck's cameo is fantastic. The Batman references within even foreshadowed reality! While giving up his career might seem questionable, the director's dedication to his deceased father at the end makes the underlying message clear: the elderly don't want to die alone, and family provides an emotional anchor.

A genuinely heartwarming and lovely film, so why was it nominated for a Razzie? Ben Affleck's "Silent Bob" cameo totally steals the show, and to the little girl: trust me, in ten years, your dad will definitely be driving the Batmobile!
