La Haine（憎しみ）
あらすじ
パリ郊外の広大な移民地域、ヴィラークの街路は、ガラスの割れる音、タイヤのきしむ音、そして時折聞こえる悲鳴で騒然としている。混乱の中、若い友人グループが集まり、暴力的な夜の余波を評価している。ヴィンツ、ユベール、サイードからなるこのグループは、薄明かりだけが顔を照らす荒涼とした街路を歩いて行く。 彼らが人気のない道を移動する際、警察との衝突で重傷を負った友人、アブディアの容態に関するニュースを探している。気性が激しく衝動的な若者であるヴィンツは、魅力的で威圧的な情熱的な強さでグループを率いている。一方、ユベールは気分屋で内省的な若者であり、詩の世界に慰めを見出している。グループの中で最も冷静なサイードは、常に理性の声である静かで控えめな存在だ。 夜が更けるにつれ、グループは近所の真ん中で起きた大規模な暴動に出くわす。落書きで覆われた建物の壁、割れた店の窓、そして路上に散乱した横転した車両を目にする。これらのイメージは、コミュニティの表面下にある鬱積した欲求不満と恨みについて多くを語っている。このシーンは、反ギャング感情や、都会の荒涼とした雰囲気の中で蔓延する実際の貧困や犯罪を切り抜けながら、疎外された市民としてキャラクターが経験しなければならない生の感情的および心理的苦痛を捉えている。 グループはアブディアの状態に関する情報を探すが、無駄に終わる。彼らは薄汚いカフェを含むさまざまな近所のたまり場を訪れるが、アブディアの状況について何も知らないようだ。ヴィンツはますます興奮し、彼の感情は爆発し始める。彼の友人への不満と心配が彼を飲み込もうとする。 一方、ディーパンという難民女性は、包囲された難民キャンプで、2人の子供たちと一緒に悲惨な状況から逃れる。そこで彼女は最近、アパートを救ってくれた難民の仲間に出会った。ディーパンは、邪魔な試練からようやく回復する前に、アパートの他の居住者の少年と出会う。ディーパンが遅かれ早かれ気づくように、彼はただ錯乱しており、現在、邪悪な近所の住民によって苦しみを与える者として雇われているにすぎない。 ディーパンは、非社交的で忘れられない過去から生じる困難な感情を抱きながら、この不安定なコミュニティにおける誰かの社会的地位を伴って、ヴィラーク地区に溶け込み始める。

Young people should bear in mind the guiding ideology of the first generation of leaders, steadfastly learn and implement the fine revolutionary traditions of France, embrace lofty ideals, stand at the forefront of the struggle, and temper their spiritual character. They should better demonstrate the spirit of forging ahead, seeking change, and innovating, striving to achieve the ambition of being from the streets, of the streets, and beyond the streets, firing the first shot in countering the encirclement of the capitalist system.

Kassovitz not only vividly portrays the confusion, agitation, and rage of youth but also exposes the living conditions of ethnic minorities in the Parisian slums. The use of techniques such as long panning shots, tracking shots, aerial photography with remote-controlled planes, and zoom shots borders on being a display of virtuosity. Vincent Cassel's performance is exceptionally vibrant. The mirrored doppelganger shot pays homage to [Taxi Driver]. Street cows, pulling up pants while chasing a train, "jusqu'ici tout va bien."
