An endless cycle of reincarnation and eternal love pales in comparison to the sun's light, which, once gone, never returns. Although in the original story, the old man only accompanied Eli for a very long time and revealed signs of past castration while she was changing, I still hope this story tells of a truly unique occurrence amidst the tired repetition of eternal love: two individuals who were originally growing up together, yet she remains eternally twelve. This theme has been explored in many books and movies. The cinematography is exceptionally beautiful.

The dynamic of taming in this film is reminiscent of "Jenifer" from Masters of Horror Season 1, except Jenifer doesn't need her caretaker to hunt for her. After all, being a vampire who's over 200 years old, how could he genuinely develop real feelings for a human, especially since he's still a little boy himself? This film has strong undertones of a homosexual relationship.

This is melodrama at its worst. Trivial matters are blown out of proportion, agonizingly drawn out to create unbearable suffering, ultimately leading to overwrought, life-or-death scenarios. The story is excessive, and the filmmaking follows suit.
