The scariest thing about watching this movie is that you'll find yourself fantasizing about trying this drug too, even knowing how dangerous it is.

That opening long take is fantastic, but otherwise it's pretty mediocre with too many flaws. Just treat it as a regular commercial film. The value system is a bit questionable, but it's enjoyable to watch. It's just a shame... no matter how many pills you pop, you still can't speak fluent Chinese. ★★★

Given the Chinese title suggestion is 《藥不能停》, which translates to something like "The Medicine Can't Stop" or "Can't Stop the Pills," here's an English review aiming for that essence: Is *Limitless* a cautionary tale? Bradley Cooper is magnetic as Eddie Morra, a struggling writer who transforms into a hyper-intelligent, ruthlessly efficient version of himself thanks to NZT-48. The film perfectly captures the intoxicating rush of unlocking your full potential, that feeling of invincibility and boundless possibility. Visually, *Limitless* is stunning. The filmmakers use creative camerawork and vibrant color palettes to illustrate Eddie's enhanced perception and cognitive abilities. You *feel* the surge of intellect. The first part of the film is amazing, capturing the intoxicating rush of NZT. But, and this is a big but, the film doesn't shy away from the dark side. There are severe consequences to playing God, and Eddie's newfound abilities come at a steep price. The withdrawal symptoms are brutal, and the enemies he makes are terrifying. The question becomes, is the temporary brilliance worth the inevitable crash? While the plot gets a bit convoluted towards the end, and some plot points perhaps are not truly delved into, *Limitless* remains a thrilling and thought-provoking ride. It taps into our deepest desires for self-improvement while simultaneously warning us about the dangers of shortcuts and unchecked ambition. It's a stylish, energetic film with a fantastic lead performance. Just be warned: you might leave the theater wondering where you can get your hands on some NZT of your own. This is a movie that understands the allure - and the danger - of "the medicine you can't stop."

Alright, here are two things that bugged me about *Limitless*: 1. That so-called impenetrable $8.5 million apartment with "unbeatable security" was a total joke! Where was the security? A freakin' chainsaw cut right through it! Seriously?! 2. The ending clearly implies the waiter was also on NZT. How else could he possibly understand that ridiculous Chinese Eddie was speaking?!
