あらすじ
スコットランド高地の荒れ狂う夜、悪事を働いて逃亡中の兄弟が、不吉な気配が漂う人里離れた農家にたどり着きます。土砂降りの雨から逃れるため、彼らは何の疑いも持たない一家を捕らえ、人目を避けて隠れようとします。 しかし、荒れ果てた住居の不気味な静けさに落ち着き始めると、崩れかけた外観の下に隠された暗い秘密が明らかになってきます。ここは普通の家ではなく、家族の不安な行動は、影に潜む邪悪な存在を示唆していることが明らかになります。 夜が更けるにつれ、兄弟たちは当初、捕虜たちを支配しようと試みますが、不気味な抵抗に遭います。静かな権威をたたえた家長は、警告でもあり啓示でもあるメッセージを伝えようと決意しているようです。ここは現実の構造が薄く、ベールの向こうに潜む恐怖が現実のものとなる場所なのです。 緊張が高まり、外で嵐が吹き荒れる中、兄弟たちは自分自身の中にある闇と、農家を我が物とした不敬な力に立ち向かわざるを得なくなります。現実と超自然の境界線が曖昧になるこの不吉な環境では、善と悪の境界線を見分けることがますます困難になります。 最終的に、兄弟たちが正気を保ったままこの悪夢から抜け出せるのか、それともリトル・ボーン・ロッジの奥底で待ち受けている狂気の淵に屈してしまうのかは定かではありません。

I'm impressed by the character in this movie who can get up and walk, even sit, right after having a metal bar surgically removed from their stomach and stitched up. If it were me, I'd be bedridden for a week!

The premise is good, the actors are good, and the story is decent. The pacing is a little off, but overall it's a solid film. I'm surprised the score is so low. And one short review said it had nothing to do with a lodge... Why would it need to be about a lodge? That's a strange criticism.

The first few dozen minutes are decent, but the more you watch, the longer it feels. It felt like watching a two-plus-hour movie, when it was only an hour and a half. The plot gets messy and drags on way too much in the latter half.
