The climax of the film comes in the final act when she uses herself as bait to launch a "fishing in the field" maneuver against the possessed demon inside the little girl. The family history and her unique constitution set the stage for a sequel, hinting at a potential three-part series with a prequel in the style of the "Insidious" franchise.
