あらすじ

While a signature work of Argento, it does feel somewhat dated by today's standards. Overly stylized visually, with a nonsensical plot, an irritating protagonist, and a predictable ending. Nevertheless, its influence on subsequent horror films remains undeniable.

The scene with the insects falling from the ceiling would be perfect for an Herbal Essences commercial.

Despite its rough edges and ambiguities, the savage use of light and sound carves out a truly visceral, blood-soaked experience.

The score is iconic, perfectly complementing the theatrical set design and intense colors to build a mysterious and dangerous world. The first ten minutes are so classic that the ending feels somewhat anticlimactic. One of my top 10 horror films! ★★★★
