In this visually stunning yet narratively flawed adaptation, Frank Miller's direction brings a unique blend of noir and graphic novel elements to life. Gabriel Macht shines as the titular hero, The Spirit, a rookie cop resurrected from the dead to fight crime in a dark and gritty city. Eva Mendes and Scarlett Johansson deliver memorable performances as femme fatales. While the film's style and action sequences are commendable, its narrative suffers from predictable plot twists and underdeveloped characters, leaving the overall experience somewhat disjointed.
