あらすじ

I think it's pretty good; several scenes are quite intense. Dealing with the destruction of humanity, it might be a bit better than the Superman movie released around the same time. But the awkward part is, it's obvious they spent all the money in the first hour or so. The sudden change in style in the latter part is almost unbearable to watch. Without Pepsi's sponsorship, Pitt probably wouldn't have made it to the end. And I think Pitt's performance is really good T_T

At its core, "World War Z" isn't a zombie action flick like "Resident Evil," but rather an academic drama akin to "Contagion." It aims to soberly depict the outbreak and origins of a global catastrophe, instead of merely providing sensory thrills for the audience. The score is excellent in creating tension, with the fall of Jerusalem being the standout scene. It's a real shame not to be able to witness this film on the big screen.

Everyone was rooting for Brad Pitt to beat the zombies, only to find out he discovered a way to avoid getting turned... Does this anticlimactic ending really fit with the massive, global-scale setup you started with? And that arrogant, know-it-all virus expert who acted so important at the beginning just tripped and died before even getting off the plane... Seriously, expert, were you just here for comic relief?!
