Anaconda 3: Offspring

Plot
Anaconda 3: Offspring is a 2008 American made-for-television film and the third installment in the Anaconda film series. It's a direct-to-video production, released by Syfy. The movie follows a story similar to that of the first film, Anaconda, but with distinct differences and characters. The plot starts with a group of scientists and a mercenary named Dan, played by David Hewlett, being hired by billionaire Michael Orca, played by John Savage, who has a daughter suffering from a life-threatening illness. Michael's daughter, Emma, is diagnosed with a terminal illness that has left her confined to a wheelchair. Desperate for a cure, Michael offers a substantial sum to Dan, who has a history of extracting unusual animals for research purposes, to capture an anaconda found in the Amazon. The anaconda that Dan and his team are after is said to possess the ability to produce venom that has healing properties. This makes it a highly sought-after specimen for medical research, particularly for a cure that can save the life of Emma Orca. The anaconda, named "Paco," is located in the midst of a dense Amazonian jungle. Dan, however, doesn't know that an anaconda, specifically one that could create offspring, is pregnant with eggs by the anaconda from the first film. As Dan and his team venture into the jungle to capture Paco, they soon discover that the anaconda and its offspring pose a formidable threat to humanity. When the team captures the anaconda, it eventually leads to chaos. Dan's team manages to bring a hatch of baby anacondas out into the open, which ultimately wreaks havoc as they kill several people, including some of Dan's team members. Throughout the film, several key characters face off against the deadly offspring, fighting for survival as they try to escape from the jungle. The remaining crew members of Dan's team soon find out that they underestimated the power of these snakes. Their plan to use Paco and its venom to potentially cure Emma's illness is quickly abandoned as the situation spirals out of control. With Dan and Emma's team trapped in the jungle with an ever-increasing anaconda population, the battle for survival commences. They try to outsmart the snakes by finding shelter and a way to fend off the anacondas. However, their best efforts are constantly thwarted by the snakes' sheer numbers and cunning behavior. As the anacondas start to overwhelm the group, Dan makes it his priority to escape the Amazonian jungle with Emma, who is trapped inside her wheelchair. His team members fight for their lives against the deadly snakes. The movie reaches its climax when Dan makes his way back to civilization with Emma. Along the way, the number of anacondas increases exponentially. However, as the movie concludes, Emma's illness is not cured. This leaves viewers with uncertainty and leaves room open for potential sequels.
