Saint Catherine

Plot

In a dark, eerie setting, a young orphaned girl finds herself trapped in the clutches of a sinister cult during a satanic ritual. The ambient air is thick with an unsettling energy as the ritual unfolds, the woman at the center standing starkly exposed, awaiting an unspeakable fate. Meanwhile, an unassuming figure lurks in the shadows, their true intentions as inscrutable as their presence might be. It is at this precarious juncture that the woman, not unlike a fragile flame about to be extinguished, experiences a brief reprieve - her would-be executioners are prevented from carrying out their awful deed by the intervention of this mystery witness. This savior, a long-haired and shabbily dressed woman with an opaque aura, emerges from the darkness and forcibly hinders the cult members, somehow saving the moment-away-from-certain-death cult-victim. A fleeting connection forms as she physically seizes this saved individual, an apathetic orphan girl, about her shoulders, shielding the girl from whatever lurking terrors awaited her. However, this temporary rescue doesn't come without cause; the sanctum is razed while simultaneously setting off a chaotic stampede. Once she has secured the safety of her charges, her nameless protector instantly becomes entangled in their desperate struggle to avoid recapture by the cult - now seemingly driven by an unrelenting zeal. Although her mysterious guardian seemingly guards her with a fragile hold on their fragile life, however, the young woman continues to feel tormented by what seems to be demons. Consequently, they're rescued and their safety prioritized, as the unknown protection takes them to a shelter specifically run by nuns. Saint Catherine Institute is a shelter geared towards helping homeless and destitute youth while attempting, on a moral level to seek their salvation. It provides valuable services in nurturing skills desperately needed to compete and survive in this modern urbanized jungle.
