Small Timers

Small Timers is a comedy film that revolves around the misadventures of three small-time crooks, played by comedians such as, Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels, and, Tim Allen, who, despite their dreams of pulling off a massive heist, consistently stumble from one blunder to another. The story begins with our trio of crooks, trying their luck at different petty thefts in an attempt to get their big break. Their first attempt at stealing computer parts ends in disaster, as they return instead with a large haul of children's toys, much to their chagrin. This foiled attempt sets the tone for the rest of the film, showcasing the incompetence and ineptitude of our heroes. In the next attempt, they target a luxury car, but end up with a clunker instead. This leads them to believe that maybe, they should aim higher, which prompts them to set their sights on a local bank. Despite their initial enthusiasm and optimism, things quickly go awry as they bumble their way through the heist. After a series of mishaps, they finally manage to break into the vault, but instead of the expected fortune, they stumble upon an ancient erotic statuette known as Caesar's Phallus. The priceless artifact sends our trio into a frenzy as they realize the potential for a huge payday. However, their elation is short-lived as they attract the attention of a ruthless art collector, Marcus, and his hired hitmen. What makes things further complicated is that Marcus has a personal vendetta against anyone who gets close to the statue, and will stop at nothing to get it back. Meanwhile, our heroes soon discover that not only do they have to deal with the danger posed by Marcus and his henchmen, but also the vengeful wives of the hitmen. The wives, it turns out, are a force to be reckoned with, as they exact their own brand of revenge on the trio for their hubris. As the stakes escalate, our heroes find themselves constantly on the run, trying to outsmart and evade their pursuers. Along the way, they discover a series of hidden passageways, secret rooms, and underground tunnels that allow them to stay one step ahead of the villains. Despite their incompetence, our heroes manage to improvise their way out of every situation, using their quick wit and resourcefulness to stay alive. However, their ineptitude often leads to more problems, and they frequently find themselves in hilarious and absurd situations. The film culminates in an action-packed finale, as our heroes make a last-ditch effort to outwit Marcus and his cohorts. The film's climax features a wild and chaotic chase sequence, as our heroes speed through the city, dodging bullets and explosions along the way.
