In the midst of the Cullens' quest to safeguard their newborn daughter Renesmee, a unique and special being, against the Volturi, the setting shifts to a transformative landscape. Having adapted to their new-life with their half-human, half-vampire daughter, they resort to calling a gathering of all the world's vampire clans to assist in verifying the truth about Renesmee's existence, challenging the alleged threat once more. Jane, the Volturi's bloodthirsty force, bears down hard on Bella Cullen, fueled by her unbridled disdain towards the Cullens and their defiance of the supernatural elders. However, Alice is entangled in the conflicting scenarios of what is to happen with a new entity such as Renesmee - her special gift will no longer provide beneficial insight, with the increasing ability of vampires and humans intermingling over time but with an opportunity for unity. While they do expect the ominous threat emerging from the shadows as opposing forces gradually mobilize in reaction to Alice's communication with the Cullens providing only hints at the looming battle between these two opposing factions. Aro presents his assertion of evidence as the first to deliver the testimonial, emphasizing on the existence of Renesmee while setting the facts straight with an emphasis on the key reason behind their being convened. In spite of that, their adversaries take revenge with cruel suspicion of the newborn in challenging its unusual past that reconfirms that the presence of Renesmee will have terrible consequences. To make matters worse, the gathering becomes increasingly precarious, leading Bella, despite her still-expectant status as a newly turned vampire, to uncover new powers within her as time runs down. As Bella embarks on this perilous journey, she must face many dangers and her unique gifted powers while assisting her husband so as to prove the existence of Renesmee and safeguard her family's lives. This effort leads her into heightened episodes of realization that will forever tie her ties with her supernatural clan. Basing herself solidly on this understanding, she makes crucial decisions which could forever shift her roles within the life of her clan, confronting these treacherous factions and battling on for all her loved ones.
