Absolutely a super classic film! Watching Jackie Chan in his prime, leaping and fighting, is just incredibly exciting. No matter what, he's a true icon of Chinese cinema. Also, make sure to watch the full 104-minute version; the 89-minute cut is chopped up nonsensically. One more thing, Françoise Yip is absolutely stunningly beautiful!

I vaguely remember catching this movie before, but watching it tonight feels like the first time. Many of Jackie Chan's films suffer from incomplete storytelling, with numerous scenes starting and ending abruptly. However, his action sequences are consistently innovative. I thought the "air fight" in "CZ12" was the pinnacle of excitement, but the "hovercraft" battle in "Rumble in the Bronx" is even more thrilling and perilous. (Anita Mui's bathroom mishap was the biggest laugh-out-loud moment for me in the entire film.) - (Date) at the China Film Archive.
