The cuteness of recent animated films is becoming unbearable. Both the director and I were dragged into a world of pre-teens. Actually, it's a pretty cheesy environmental education propaganda film. But I can't resist the rich colors and soft marshmallows of the trees in the film - although, why exactly can the trees knit sweaters?

The visuals are stunning, but the film itself falls just a bit short in several areas. The songs aren't catchy enough, the goldfish in the capsule are underutilized for comedic relief, and the two-part adventure feels somewhat disjointed, making the protagonist's journey less thrilling and a bit aimless. The story is also too juvenile and childish. The biggest misstep for the "Despicable Me" team this time is the lack of mischievousness; without that signature deviousness, it just can't be unbeatable. Grandma and the vibrant colors are definitely highlights, though. ★★☆

However, he soon discovers the story of the Lorax, a grumpy yet lovable creature who speaks up for the environment. With its stunning animation and important message about conservation, this film is a must-watch for both children and adults.
