Exit Wounds

Handlung
Orin Boyd, a straight-talking and unafraid undercover cop, had a reputation for being one of the best in the business. His no-nonsense approach and willingness to take risks had earned him a series of high-profile victories against domestic terrorists. However, his unconventional methods often pushed the boundaries of standard procedure, and as a result, he had managed to step on more than a few toes within the police department. So, when a decision was made to reassign Boyd to the 214th precinct in the tough and crime-ridden streets of Detroit, it wasn't a surprise. Detroit's 214th precinct was a hotbed of corruption and vice, and the previous commander, Lt. Teret, had become increasingly tyrannical in an effort to maintain control over the corrupt system that existed beneath the surface. When Teret received orders to transfer Boyd out of the city, he couldn't have been happier. Orin Boyd was exactly the kind of problem he wanted to eliminate. As Boyd stepped into the harsh realities of life in the 214th precinct, he was immediately confronted with the depth of corruption that had taken root. He began to notice strange and disturbing anomalies, from officers who seemed too comfortable around local gang leaders to evidence that simply seemed to disappear. The more Boyd dug, the more he realized that the precinct was a hotbed of corruption, with even higher-ranking officials either implicated or turning a blind eye. One of the first people Boyd met in the precinct was Detective Hatcher, a smooth-talking officer who seemed always to be one step ahead of the game. As Boyd began to question Hatcher about a particularly suspicious transaction, he discovered the officer was actually one of the leaders of a secret drug ring operating within the precinct. The ring, known as "Operation Green Machine," had been operating for months, using connections within the police department to launder money and move large quantities of cocaine. Determined to take down the corrupt officers and their operation, Boyd knew he needed backup. That's when he met Latrell Walker, a ruthless gang leader with a reputation for being one of the most feared in the city. Walker's empire stretched across the city, and he wasn't happy about the 214th precinct's involvement in the local cocaine trade. Boyd approached Walker with a proposal - join forces to take down the corrupt officers, and in return, Walker would receive protection from Boyd and the guarantee that the 214th would no longer interfere with his operations. Walker, initially hesitant, eventually agreed to help Boyd on the condition that his own crew would be allowed to operate with a certain level of autonomy once the corrupt officers were brought down. Boyd knew it was a chance, but one he needed to take. With the two unlikely allies now working together, they began a high-stakes game of cat-and-mouse against the corrupt officers within the precinct. As they got closer to the truth, Boyd found himself increasingly entangled in a web of corruption and deception. There were those who didn't want the truth to come out, and they would stop at nothing to silence Boyd and Walker. Tensions escalated, and with each passing moment, Boyd found himself more and more out of control. In the midst of chaos and danger, Boyd's relationship with Walker began to evolve. They became an unlikely duo, their partnership forged by necessity, but strengthened by mutual respect. The closer they got to their target, the tighter the noose seemed to snap around them. When they finally stumbled upon evidence of Teret's involvement in the corruption, it became clear that time was running out. With tensions reaching a boiling point, the situation came to a head when Boyd cornered Teret over the incriminating evidence. With Teret facing the full power of the law, the very foundations of the precinct began to shake. Officers, realizing the scope of the corruption and their complicity, began to either defect or be brought to justice. Latrell Walker's crew began to operate with greater freedom, and for once, the people of the precinct's most violent and corrupt neighborhood began to see a glimmer of hope. Boyd's partnership with Walker had paid off, but not without great personal cost. Orin Boyd had walked into the 214th precinct as a hero and emerged changed, having discovered the harsh realities of the city's underbelly and forged an unlikely alliance with a gangster to take down corruption. Though he still had questions about the system and his own place within it, Boyd's experiences in the precinct had given him a new appreciation for the true meaning of loyalty and the price one pays for standing up for what's right.
