Handlung
Pokémon – Der Film ist ein animierter Science-Fiction-Film, der die Geschichte eines mächtigen, genetisch veränderten Pokémon namens Mewtu erzählt. Erschaffen von Wissenschaftlern, die das Erbgut des mythischen Pokémon Mew studiert hatten, wurde Mewtu als das stärkste und intelligenteste Pokémon überhaupt konzipiert. Mewtus Schöpfer, angeführt von dem rätselhaften Mr. Shinha, verfolgen ihre eigenen Motive mit der Erschaffung dieses mächtigen Pokémon. Sie wollen damit beweisen, dass Menschen überlegene Wesen erschaffen können, die sogar die Natur selbst übertreffen. Doch als Mewtu beginnt, sein eigenes Bewusstsein und seine eigenen Emotionen zu entwickeln, ist es zunehmend desillusioniert von den Absichten seiner Schöpfer. Mewtus Wunsch nach Unabhängigkeit und Selbstbestimmung führt dazu, dass es Ash Ketchum, einen jungen Pokémon-Trainer, und sein Pikachu entführt. Zusammen mit einer Gruppe anderer Trainer und ihrer Pokémon wird Ash gezwungen, an einem Kampf gegen Mewtu teilzunehmen, das eine Armee geklonter Pokémon, bekannt als die "Klon-Truppen", erschaffen hat. Während die Kämpfe toben, treibt Ashs Entschlossenheit, seine Freunde zu beschützen und sich als würdiger Trainer zu beweisen, ihn dazu, sich Mewtu zu stellen. Doch die Dinge nehmen eine dramatische Wendung, als Ash erfährt, dass Mewtu nicht nur für sein eigenes Überleben kämpft, sondern sich auch an denen rächen will, die es erschaffen haben. The healing power of Zarude isn't about sprouting seedlings or reviving Pokémon; it's about shielding his child from the onslaught of robotic beasts. Koko may not know how to shake hands, but he uncovers his origins when he shares a high-five with another. The forest doesn't belong to any single species; you're free to choose whether to be human or Zarude. You always wonder, "When will my vines grow in?" Silly child, you sprouted your vines the day you met him, and at that moment, he gained the greatest healing ability of all, becoming a father.

6/10. Feels like "Tarzan" meets "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," with Ash relegated to a supporting role at last! I'm glad to see an animated film promote environmental protection. The greedy Skwovet is absolutely adorable! They should release a short film starring it. The villain's tech and logic have been downgraded, and the Mythical Pokémon's combat power is average. Celebi in its pink form makes a cameo.

While the villain is somewhat stereotypical, the characters of Zarude and Koko are richly developed.
