Atemoriza la Noche

Trama

Annie

Two and a half stars. It's quite boring, and the action is subpar. Of all the survivors, both lesbians make it, which feels like forced political correctness. As a revenge thriller, it lacks any real satisfaction.

"Maggie Q, a retired female soldier from Iraq, finds herself trapped in a deadly party. She relies on her own strength to break through the darkness and rescue the Kappa Theta Pi (KTP) sorority. The story's inanity and the film's meager budget are beyond being described with dismissive terms like 'cheap' or 'straight-to-streaming.' An average episode of 'Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf' has more intelligent conflict than this thing. Maggie Q, please be more selective with your roles. If there aren't any legitimate production offers, it's better not to film at all. As it stands, you're consistently squandering the goodwill you built up during your 'Nikita' era. Negative score."

It's interesting to note that Zhang Ziyi and Maggie Q are the same age. However, it's unfair and subjective to compare their appearances or achievements, especially by stating that Zhang Ziyi is somehow "inferior" to Maggie Q at their age. Both women have had successful and diverse careers, and aging is a natural process that affects everyone differently.

The film tells a story of the strong preying on the weak, ultimately leading to a reverse kill. A group of girls at a remote house party are targeted by drug dealers seeking money, resulting in a deadly showdown where the girls fight back and win. The movie has several issues; the key to the weak overcoming the strong usually lies in intelligence, strategy, teamwork, and a bit of luck. However, these are largely absent here, with Maggie Q mainly carrying the film through individual heroism, which isn't particularly exciting. I'd rate the film 2.5 stars, adding an extra half-star for Maggie Q's continued presence in the film industry.

"Fear the Night" delivers a relentless, adrenaline-fueled thrill ride as eight women are terrorized by masked intruders in a remote farmhouse. Led by the troubled but resourceful Tess, the group must band together to survive the brutal assault. With its intense action sequences and suspenseful plot twists, this tense thriller keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. Strong performances from the all-female cast add depth to the film's empowering portrayal of women fighting back against their oppressors.
