Trama
Ecco la trama del film: Killer Elite - Zona di contatto è un film thriller d'azione del 2011 che racconta la storia vera di Danny Bryce, un ex agente del British Special Air Service (SAS) diventato sicario. Il film è ambientato alla fine degli anni '80 e vede Jason Statham nei panni di Danny, che si è ritirato dalla sua professione letale dopo aver sofferto di disturbo da stress post-traumatico a seguito di una missione fallita. Tuttavia, quando il suo mentore ed ex comandante, Hunter (Robert De Niro), viene rapito da un potente sceicco (Youssef Kassab), Danny è costretto a tornare in gioco. Lo sceicco chiede che Danny completi tre omicidi in cambio del rilascio sicuro di Hunter. Gli obiettivi sono tutti funzionari di alto rango che hanno tradito lo sceicco in qualche modo, rendendoli un bersaglio legittimo. Danny si allea con un collega operativo, Spike (Cliff Curtis), per portare a termine gli omicidi. Lungo il percorso, incrocia anche un assassino letale di nome Amir (Mehdi Nebbou). Mentre Danny naviga nel perfido panorama dello spionaggio internazionale e degli omicidi, inizia a mettere in discussione la propria moralità e il vero costo delle sue azioni. Nel frattempo, Hunter è tenuto prigioniero dagli scagnozzi dello sceicco, che sono determinati a estorcere informazioni sulla posizione di Danny. Jason Statham is undeniably magnetic in this film. His signature bald head, coupled with that rugged beard, and his powerfully agile physique are captivating. But it's his unwavering, decisive gaze – sharp as a predator's when locking onto its prey – that truly seals the deal. Of course, Clive Owen, with his neat mustache and chillingly blue eyes, is equally dashing. Watching these two style icons face-off is a major draw, though the movie does get bogged down in unnecessary length and details.

However, to its credit, the film retains the spirit of old-school, hard-boiled action flicks and refreshingly avoids jumping on the bandwagon of forced bromance or unnecessary gimmicks.
