Sabrina has everything going for it: a fantastic setup, a great atmosphere, and a cast with decent looks and acting skills. It's frustrating because they nail all those elements, but the storytelling just falls short. This Christmas special is a perfect example of that, sigh.

They really decided to break this mini-collection out on its own, and it's not even a full hour long! Just like the first season, the story is okay, but the atmosphere is great. The monster-fighting-monster, 'enemies-in-the-same-profession' setup is pretty fun. The Krampus storyline could have been explored more. Lilith didn't really do much this time! Sabrina's style has toned down, and she's become a bit invisible. The other characters are getting more developed, though, and the young actors really suffer compared to the veterans. The cliffhanger for the second season isn't that exciting. Susie is a good actress! And like everyone else, I'm so annoyed by that plain-looking and demanding boyfriend. Hope he gets the boot next season...

It's okay, but it's a decent way to pass the time, and it sets the stage for a second season. Though, is Gryla really that powerful? She's killing demons left and right? Looking forward to season two. BTW, Sabrina needs to break things off with that mortal boyfriend ASAP, thank you.

This special episode doesn't really offer much of substance. From the very beginning, Luke seemed suspicious, but it's never addressed. So, was there something wrong with him, or not? It's left completely unresolved.
