あらすじ

In the vibrant and eclectic town of Busan, South Korea, a beautiful socialite named Yong-chul's (Kim Go-eun) life is on the verge of a transformative change. Her marriage to the wealthy and influential Kang is loveless, and her seemingly perfect facade hides a deep sense of emptiness and disconnection. However, fate has other plans for her, as her path crosses with three talented but struggling musicians - Jung-jae (Park Yoo-chun), Sung-tae (Ki Won-young), and Hyo-seok (Kwak Do-won) - who form a band called 'The Crying Man.' The initial meeting between Yong-chul and the musicians is a memorable one, marked by tension and disagreements. The socialite's sophisticated elegance clashes with the group's gruff and unpolished demeanor, but despite their initial animosity, Yong-chul is drawn to their passion and music. She becomes intrigued by their creative process and the genuine connection they share with each other. As she spends more time with them, she begins to open up about her own desires and aspirations. The musicians, though talented, are struggling to make a name for themselves in the music industry. Their band has faced rejection and disappointment at every turn, and their confidence is dwindling. Yong-chul's presence sparks something within them, and they begin to write songs that are more personal and meaningful. She becomes their muse, inspiring them to tap into their deep-seated emotions and pour their hearts into their music. As the days go by, Yong-chul becomes an integral part of the band's creative process. She listens to their stories, offers words of encouragement, and shares her own experiences, helping them to navigate the complexities of love and relationships. In return, the musicians introduce her to the raw emotion and freedom that comes with creating music. For the first time in her life, Yong-chul feels truly alive. However, not everyone is pleased with Yong-chul's newfound friendship with the band. Her husband, Kang, is increasingly suspicious and hostile towards the musicians, seeing them as a threat to his wife's status and their marriage. He attempts to intervene and stop her association with the band, but Yong-chul is determined to follow her heart and pursue her passion. As the band's music begins to gain momentum, so do the tensions within their relationships. Jung-jae, the lead singer, develops strong feelings for Yong-chul, while Sung-tae and Hyo-seok grapple with their own emotions and insecurities. Yong-chul, too, finds herself falling for the musicians' authenticity and passion, which forces her to confront the emptiness she's been trying to fill through her marriage. In the midst of this creative and emotional turmoil, the band releases a string of hit songs, each one more powerful and poignant than the last. Yong-chul's presence has not only inspired their music but has also given them a new sense of purpose and direction. As the success of their songs grows, so does the attention they receive, and their lives become increasingly complicated. In the end, Yong-chul must make a choice between the life she's always known and the path she's discovered through her association with the band. Will she continue down the road of wealth and privilege, or will she take a chance on the uncertain but exciting future that the musicians offer? The outcome is far from certain, but one thing is clear: for Yong-chul, as well as the musicians, the music they've created together has the power to transform not only their lives but also the lives of those around them.
