The visuals are a bit uneven, though some are quite good. As an IMAX film, the visuals often become too distracting, overshadowing the narrative somewhat. It doesn't quite measure up to the original *Fantasia*.

Fantasia 2000, screened at the Shanghai International Film Festival, is a concert animation film best experienced in a movie theater. The big screen and sound system create an immersive atmosphere akin to being at a live symphony performance, delivering a true audiovisual feast. The animators' fantastical imagination breathes new life into classic music. I particularly enjoyed the segments featuring urban life and the sorcerer, as well as the flamingos. However, I found the "Pomp and Circumstance" adaptation into a Noah's Ark story to be a bit odd.

Thanks to "The Top Ten Movie Theaters" (and its "Summer Carnival"?), I have a very deep impression of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony and the beginning of this film. I'm more impressed with "Fantasia 2000" than with the 1940 "Fantasia."
