あらすじ
大人としての複雑さに翻弄されながら、マディーは大切な思い出がたくさん詰まった実家を失う瀬戸際に立たされている。最後の手段として、彼女は一風変わった求人広告を見つけ、心を惹かれる。それは、裕福な夫婦が内向的な19歳の息子パーシーと「デート」してくれる相手を探しているというものだった。 最初はためらい、懐疑的だったマディーだが、幼少期を過ごした家を守るために必要な経済的報酬が得られることを期待して、この異例の仕事を引き受けることにする。パーシーとの関係を築こうとするうちに、マディーは型破りな取り決めに対する自身の不安や迷いに向き合わなければならない。 育った環境も性格も全く異なるマディーとパーシーは、偽りの関係の中で、さまざまな出来事を乗り越えながら、あり得ない絆を築いていく。一緒に過ごす時間が増えるにつれ、彼らは表面的なつながりを超えた共通の趣味や共通点を発見する。 一方、マディーがパーシーの人生に現れたことで、息子が幸せで満たされることを切望するヘリコプターペアレントたちは、さまざまな反応を見せる。家族関係がますます複雑になるにつれて緊張が高まり、パーシーのマディーに対する気持ちも無視できなくなっていく。 状況が厳しくなり、現実と見せかけの境界線が曖昧になり始めるにつれて、マディーは自分の感情と向き合い、演じ続けるか、真実のつながりのためにすべてを危険にさらすかを決めなければならない。彼女は、幼少期を過ごした家を救いながら、あり得ない場所で愛を見つけることができるのだろうか？

Jennifer Lawrence's reaction during the beach scene where she's naked and beating up a kid is priceless! First, pure shock. Then, the virgin's disbelief lasts less than a second before morphing into further shock. And finally, surprisingly, a genuine and touching moment emerges.

Raunchy comedy, and a hilarious one at that! Seriously, I was cracking up the entire time, getting those nostalgic 2000s vibes—loved it! Being genuinely funny is the most important thing for a comedy, and this nailed it. So dirty and thirsty, and I LOVE it!!! JLaw should definitely do more comedies, oh god, she’s smokin’ hottttt～Next time someone needs to "date his brain out," count me in, because that kid is unf**kwithable...

It starts as an R-rated comedy, shifts into a romance, and ultimately reveals itself as a coming-of-age friendship story. The summer inevitably ends, and the boy with a bright future at Princeton won't forget the mature woman in the seaside town who helped him grow up. Even better, the woman won't stay for the boy who genuinely loved her; the California sunshine will heal all the wounds from her family issues. They are each a vibrant chapter in each other's journeys.
