あらすじ

Without a solid script, maybe consider a live-action adaptation of the Resident Evil animated series? Cage's current hairstyle could totally pull off Spencer! And if it works, spin-offs for individual characters could be a goldmine? On a side note, Li Bingbing as Ada Wong in the films was a great casting choice, but they definitely need to recast Leon "Vehicle Killer" Kennedy.

Cage's portrayal of a seasoned special agent feels too generic. He risks everything to hand over the hard drive's list to the CIA for the safety of his daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter, then walks away, "untainted by praise." There's a lack of subtlety in the setup, the main plot is too predictable, and the character relationships and emotional expressions lack detail. It's essentially mindless viewing, not very enriching.

Clearly, Nicolas Cage is just here to indulge in a bit of acting, playing a seemingly harmless retiree secret agent. But Ron Perlman steals a significant portion of the spotlight as the villain – in fact, he's the most fleshed-out character in the entire film. However, his demise in the later part of the movie feels utterly random. Coupled with the universally awkward attempts at humor, the whole film exudes an all-encompassing sense of embarrassment.
