The movie "28 Weeks Later" was not actually titled "28 Years Later", however it's synopsis shall be provided based on that given info. It had been nearly three decades since the catastrophic events of the rage virus outbreak. The virus, which had a nearly uniform deadly effectiveness against its victims, had been contained in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, albeit tenuously. Britain was one of the few safe zones on the island of Great Britain that had not been consumed by the raging hordes of undead humans. One place where life went on amidst such stark horrors was a small, isolated island off the coast of mainland Britain, dubbed Helgoland, often shortened to "The Isle." The group of survivors lived together, isolated from the rest of the civilization on a continental expanse that remained relentlessly populated by the roaming hordes. On this island, close-knit survivors lived out a hardscrabble existence. The group of survivors maintained a sort of semi-safe haven, mostly based on the relative inaccessibility of this island. If they lived longer than a week without falling victim to attacks or the insidious plague, it was seen as a good life. After a bit of discussion and reconnaissance work was conducted about surviving off the island, in an effort to gather supplies to boost their rations, one of the several bands of island dwellers, Don O'Perrell's elder, Don O'Perrell gets the opportunity to visit the mainland when, remarkably, a rescue aircraft seeks out his family's son, Tammy, with his bride Don who comes onto the site once, Don's home.
