Plot

"Thirty Minutes or Less" is a 2011 American action comedy film directed by Ruben Fleischer. The movie follows the story of Nick Halsey (Jesse Eisenberg), a small-time pizza delivery guy who lives a mundane life in the town of Palo Alto, California. The plot thickens when two bumbling thieves, Dwayne (Aziz Ansari) and Chet (Nick Swardson), kidnap Nick and strap a bomb to his chest. The dynamic duo demands that Nick rob a bank within thirty minutes or else the bomb will detonate, killing him and everyone around him. As the clock ticks away, Nick is forced to navigate through the chaos of the robbery while trying to outsmart his captors and save his own life. Along the way, he meets Alejandra (Dilshad Vadsaria), a bank manager who becomes embroiled in the situation. The movie takes a satirical approach to exploring themes of desperation, sacrifice, and redemption as Nick is pushed to his limits. Through a series of hilarious mishaps, witty one-liners, and unexpected twists, "Thirty Minutes or Less" delivers a thrilling ride filled with action, suspense, and humor. I don't know why, but I'm so into Jesse Eisenberg's type of guy. Expressionless, doesn't smile, barely opens his mouth when he talks... I love it so much...

Boring, just like watching paint dry. This movie's got less zip than a deflated pizza delivery scooter.

As a comedy, its jokes and gags are too mediocre; as an action film, its pacing and conflict are too mild; as a drama, its script and acting are too weak. As a fan film, it's hard to escape the weird obsession of seeing Zuckerberg robbing a bank. Only Jesse's little curly hair is somewhat charming. Overall, it's a complete waste of time.

The plot is quite bizarre, and it gets a little too... much towards the end. My biggest takeaway is how ridiculously good-tempered the Indian guy is! It's definitely intentional! Eisenberg's motormouth is relentless as always!! But I still adore him!! He embodies the宅男 vibe in every role!! Even his car chases have that宅男 style!!

Jesse Eisenberg is so typecast at this point, that even playing a pizza delivery guy, he still comes off like the CEO of Facebook. It's career sabotage.
