In this story, Hardin Scott, portrayed by Hero Fiennes-Tiffin, finds himself in a state of turmoil. After the devastating breakup with his on-again, off-again girlfriend Tessa Young, played by Josephine Langford, he is desperate to redeem himself and make amends for past mistakes. The plot unfolds with Hardin in Portugal, a country that holds significant meaning for his past, the place where it all began for him to start mending his ways. Hardin's journey takes him back to Lisbon, where he's determined to find Olivia, a woman he wronged several years ago. Despite this woman wronging him as well, he feels compelled to seek her out and make things right, this gesture is reflective of the internal personal journey he has started, an attempt to reconcile the guilt that has haunted him. As Hardin delves deeper into his past and his struggles with Tessa, he begins to confront the harsh realities of his own behavior and actions. He struggles with feelings of loneliness, uncertainty about the state of his relationship, and a dire need for self-discovery. The once arrogant elite, Hardin finds himself questioning the true meaning of love and if he's genuinely capable of providing the commitment he claims to long for.
