Alienoid

Plot
In the vast expanse of time, where ancient dynasties ruled and modern civilization flourished, two vastly different worlds collided with unbridled force. Alienoid brings to life the incredible story of how two groups, each with their own agenda, would converge on a mysterious and cosmic battlefield. The film commences in the late Goryeo dynasty, where three master thieves - Jang Ji-ung (played by Ryung Kwang-Ha), Hyuk (played by Sung-min Lee), and Tae (played by Moon Yang-Tae) - strive to outwit their greatest adversary in a cutthroat quest for a legendary, golden fabled sword. Enchanted with supreme power and a rumored possession of the Heavens' authority, the three thieves comprehend the fabled sword's colossal value and how it could guarantee their riches. With enigmatic gurus trailing them, all intent on upstaging the thieves in acquiring this mighty treasure. Enter Min-Jae (played by Wi Ha-joon) and his trusted comrade, Ohn (played by Kim Min-jae), in the year 2022, navigating the daunting universe of futuristic warfare. These highly skilled fighter pilots find themselves burdened with an existential threat in the form of an alien prisoner who was placed inside the physical body of a recently deceased soldier. An unorthodox event in military history, this malevolent extraterrestrial offers numerous chances for biological experiments but poses critical risks, all in accordance with its sinister purpose: to evade capture and communicate with its fellow aliens. Furthermore, as their prey's body gradually grows weaker, they must track down the alien in the limited time available. It turns out the prisoner was earlier flown to Earth and imprisoned in the recently deceased bodies for surveillance of an 'attack period.' On the verge of vanishing the last remnants of human consciousness from the body occupied by this invader, these high-tech hunters are unaware of the imminent incalculable danger hurtling towards their reality. The unlikely intersection of these two worlds arrives with the unmissable emergence of a gravitational time-travel portal, leading to a spectacular and ill-fated convergence. From the turmoil-stricken Earth of the future and a civilization born centuries ago, these three thieves and two fighter pilots begin their perilous journey - one tied to the tangible, and the other linked to the elusive existence of the fable-sword and the menacing extraterrestrial at large. A force equal and counter equal draws them entwined into a precarious dance between past and the unacknowledged. Jang, Hyuk, and Tae then join forces with fighters fighting to the death, with the same intense vision when struggling to survive against unforeseen threats emanating all around their bewildering time-travel fiasco. While they have formed an anti-empathy connection aimed at crossing goals and protecting both worlds, also sensing the relentless pressure from those masters, they join, merge, and clash – with those Goryeo enigmatic Gurus seeking the treasure as the humans in 2022 deal with the unknown 'real' aspect of alien beings. Adopting their roles diligently, each from their designated timelines, as they proceed to a war-stricken location - Min-Jae forces them to face an unknown, inescapable peril. Subsequently, the tension builds around them, even more decisively, because they can potentially avoid catastrophe through unbinding a series of thrilling time-based attacks. The people belonging to a lost era - on the battlefield in turmoil and under impending doom from rival groups across varying dimensions – will collide eventually, sparking explosive confrontations as each party realizes there is an essential lesson amidst existential desperation – which makes it vital for eternal eternity to unravel, despite any time-space clashes that might lead to untold futures of war for thousands of years to come. Thus, on the battlefield entrenched in chaotic timelines between clashing arch-rivals transcending centuries from timeless wars across spatial realms; the fate intertwined with unseen, inexplicable realms now forms the fusion at center stage, the past merging along with the future, interlocking paths tied at their future’s core. Within diverse narratives and multiple timelines that transcend time-space boundaries, this dynamic battle is sure to push humanity either further down towards annihilation and catastrophes, leading to interminable dread and unknowns – or it can potentially reframe the vision towards different temporal pathways. Will war reign supreme across the entwined worlds and timelines, or can humanity succeed in transcending the catastrophic nature and, with determination, break free, breaking the chains that hold them captive between unrelenting rivalry? Alienoid leaves the ultimate question for its audience to decide as the lives of countless characters hurtling across a storied, dynamic framework converge in the spirit of an enduring testament to time's own eternal truths.
