Another Cinderella Story

In the Disney Channel original movie, Another Cinderella Story, Austin Ames, played by Drew Seeley, returns to his hometown for the summer break after a year away. His high school sweetheart, Mary Santiago, who had left town after graduation, is now working alongside Austin's best friend, Morgan, at the local ice cream shop. Upon his return, Austin becomes reacquainted with Mary, though she does not reveal her identity as the mysterious girl he danced with at the school's spring dance, a costume ball. At the Spring Fling, Austin was captivated by a masked beauty he danced with. Unfortunately, his encounter with the enigmatic girl came to an abrupt end when she left her Zune behind. This one clue serves as the catalyst for Austin's quest to find her. Unbeknownst to him, the girl who danced with him at the Spring Fling is none other than Mary Santiago. As Austin tries to find his masked beauty, he faces numerous obstacles, including Mary's secrecy about her identity. Mary, being an avid fan of Austin Ames, the famous pop star, is initially hesitant to confess her true identity to him. The complexities of their situation make it challenging for the two to come together. Austin becomes determined to find the girl behind the Zune and the mysterious mask, even if it means compromising his current friendships with Morgan and Austin's manager, Mr. Brooks. Throughout his pursuit, Austin is joined by a cast of colorful characters, including a high school student who claims to be his biggest fan, a schoolmate of Mary's with knowledge about her, and a friend who tries to dissuade him from pursuing the mysterious girl. As Austin's resolve to find his masked beauty grows, his relationships with his friends continue to suffer. Austin is torn between the thrill of possibly being with his true connection and maintaining his friendships. Meanwhile, Mary's hesitation stems from her fear of being hurt, her secret past with Austin, and her loyalty to her new friends. Austin finally receives a critical clue that allows him to identify his mystery girl - a necklace with a charm bearing the initials 'MS' - the same as those inscribed on a necklace given to him by Mary. The necklace is found near Mary's house after Austin has a heart-to-heart talk with Mary under the guise of discussing a hypothetical song about a mysterious girl from a Spring Fling. Upon realizing his mystery girl's true identity, Austin finally confesses his feelings for Mary, acknowledging the hurt he's caused her before and making amends with his best friend Morgan. Their heartfelt conversation culminates in a romantic dance at his concert, and, for the first time, they share their true identities with each other.
